| Dubois County SWCD to host a Tree Care Workshop |
BASIC TREE CARE WORKSHOP TO BE HELD
A free basic tree care workshop will take place on Saturday, November 8 from 8:30am-4:00pm at the Clover Pavilion at the Dubois County Fairgrounds. Participants will learn how to properly select, plant and maintain trees that are right for their growing conditions.
Homeowners, street department personnel, park department employees, tree board members, city planners and anyone else interested in the care of trees in their community are invited to attend this free workshop. Topics to be addressed include proper pruning, selecting the right tree for the site, basic tree identification, and tree diseases. Participants will be outdoors for the tree identification portion of this workshop and are encouraged to dress for the weather.
Lunch will be provided. Sponsors for this workshop are the Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District and the IDNR Division of Forestry.
